Heather uses the wool from her seven sheep of different breeds, named Doggy, Lettie (short for Chocolette), Halo, Pic, Emma, Henny & Nenny. Once shorn in the spring, the wool from Heathers sheep Is sent to a small mill in southern Ontario & the wool bought from local shepherds is sent to a larger mill in Alberta where it is processed into yarn for Heather to dye. With any remaining wool she sets to work with the task of washing, picking, carding and spinning it into yarn. All the yarn is then hand dyed in small batches getting it ready for you and your custom creations. She also carries roving for spinning or felting, wool batts for quilts, washed fleece & raw fleece. In her studio you will also find finished products – nuno felted silk scarves, knitted shawls, felted purses, small ornaments & even wool dryer balls!
